Nothing is simple about Medication Non-Adherence. It’s been referred to as “The Silent Epidemic.” Silent because the average American has never heard the term and is unaware of the harm related to Medication Non-Adherence..

  • Studies have revealed that MNA is responsible for:approximately 125,000 deaths in the US annually

  • 25% hospital readmissions
  • $290 BILLION of avoidable costs in the US Healthcare System annually

More than half of the adult in the US take at least one prescription medication or more daily. 75% among those surveyed reported being non-adherent for various reasons; 2/3 of which reported their reason was forgetfulness - the #1 cause of MNA.

Studies have determined 67% of deaths due to MNA were attributed to forgetfulness.

Distractions happen which can easily cause people to question, “Did I take my pills or not?” Those using digital alerts also find themselves wondering the same.
